On 23/1/23, Monday ,we had the regular morning assembly . Then   I had sixth hour in VIII-C . I completed part one of The Merchant of Venice . I was feeling happy as students responded rightly to the questions I asked based on the chapter.

On 24/1/23 , Tuesday , I had third period in VIII-C .Since The Merchant of Venice was a long chapter and I had completed the part I in the previous class , I decided to teach them a grammar portion , namely the word pyramid . I gave a detailed explanation of creating a word pyramid and made them create word pyramids with the given words . Students found it interesting and interactive.

On 25/1/23 , Wednesday , as the part of ISRO initiative , the students were introduced to Space On Wheels . It was a bus that travelled with ICT based introductions on space technology . It also depicted a short snippet about India’s Space Technology and its history. It was a different experience for the students. Then during the afternoon session , I had seventh hour in VIII-C . Today also I decided to take a small grammar portion , namely a function of present progressive tense .i was able to finish the class swiftly.

On 27/1/23, Friday , the classes resumed after the public holiday. Today I had fifth hour in VIII-C , where I continued teaching the next function of present progressive tense .Further I along with my fellow trainee Gouri had substitution in fifth and sixth hour . It was an I.T period for Xth grade students.

This week I was able to take pretty good classes. I mostly taught grammar portions this week . I noted that a few students were lacking the basics still , I tried to rectify it within my time limit. Still I had time management issues . Further I gave them more exercises to practice the concepts thoroughly. Witnessing the  Space on Wheels was also a nice experience I had during this teaching practice.

I used ICT to capture attention of students . at times I had issues with classroom management as students become live while they are exposed to new techniques of learning . I also had time management in some classes . I decided to rectify these during the coming week.

I was also able to swipe away the monotony of regular classroom works. By the end of the period i was able to finish that chapter.

On Wednesday , I was given substituition in Xthe grade during the second hour where I had to teach them a few formats of  compositions . During the seventh hour I had class in VIII-C ,where I taught them the habitual function of  present progressive tense. During the class I noticed that a few students did not know the basic tense patterns. Though I conveyed the idea of basic tense patterns , Icould not do it effectively due to time limits . I accordingly taught the portion and gave them examples to workout.

On Thursday , I got a substituition in VIII-C , where i taught them basic tense patterns. My scheduled hour was fifth period where i taught them the habitual function of present progressive tense . I used ICT to deliver the concept and gave them examples to complete.

Today i had fifth hour in VIII-C  and taught them the next function of present progressive tense , that is , planned future action. I gave them a group activity to complete. Students did the exercises very well.

This week i was able to take classes more confidently. I had time management issues when teaching grammar portions as students hardly know the basics. Further i also noticed students who showed improvements after teaching. I also discuss the errors they made in doing homeworks and made sure that they rectify it. I also felt that im gaining more experience each day .
