The finale of sports meet was held today in the campus play ground .  The  Blue team won the cup and Yellow team were the runner's up. All the events in Sport's Meet were co-ordinated by the combined efforts of Sport's Secretary Muneer and our Physical Education head Mr. Lyju sir.

                                        ARTS FEST

This was first Art's Fest . A lot of competition items were there as per the university list . I participated in literary events such as Short Story Writing, Essay Writing, Poetry Writing , Pencil drawing , Watercolour painting etc. I also participated in various stage items such as the Oppana , elocution competition , poetry recitation . It was a pleasing experience . I also won a few competitions . It was a fierce competition held between all the four teams . We had showcased our maximum participation. The final Art's Day cup was raised by the Blue Team and Yellow team were the runner's up.

The Art's Day provided us with a fun-filled experience where we along with our seniors exhibited competitive spirit and companionship. Each team was assigned a head, which were one of our teacher's for each team respectively. They also supported us and shared our team spirit equally.

ARTS FEST INAUGURATION 

"MELAM 2K22" 

"Melam 2K22", the Arts Fest of the year 2022 was carried out on 22nd and 23rd March, 2022. The inauguration ceremony was on the first day, 22-03-2022 , Tuesday. The chief guest was Mr. Manoj Mangalath, the famous poet, orator and the one who was awarded the Best Teacher Award of the year 2021. The programmes were organised under the College Union Hridhayam's leadership. The Art's Club Secretary Gouri delivered the welcome speech.College union chairman Mr. Praveen coordinated the function well. It was anchored by union ember and Magazine Editor Ms. Nithya. The Arts fest was inaugurated by Manoj Sir. He then delivered a wonderful speechwhich was inspirational and motivational. Our beloved principal Mrs. Shyma Nahas honoured the chief guest with a momento and ponnada. After the inaugural function, arts competitions of stage items began. The competition was among the four teams - RED💓, BLUE💙, GREEN💚 & YELLOW 💛.

HOLI CELEBRATIONS

                                                 HOLI CELEBRATIONS 

As part of the Holi, we had a small celebration. The celebration was in the evening after the college was dismissed. We celebrated Holi with our seniors , but it was only for a short while as most of the students had to commuted by college bus. We had a colourful evening.

On 15th March ' 22, Short story writing and Pencil drawing competitions were conducted. On 16th March '22, cartoon, water colour and Rangoli competitions were conducted. All groups participated very well. In literary events, yellow house got the highest points.

            As part of the Arts Fest MELAM 2K22, Literary Events were planned to be                 conducted on 14, 15 and 16th March 2022. On 14th March, Monday,                 Poetry writing (Malayalam, English, Hindi) was conducted in the morning                 and Essay Writing (English, Malayalam, Hindi) was conducted in the afternoon.

Today chess competition of girl's team was conducted as part of sports meet. Yellow house got first prize and green house got second prize. A football match was also conducted . Then it was decided that the Finale to be conducted after the Art's Day , by 31 March '2022.

 On 10th march Chess competition and Girls' badminton were conducted.

 For chess competition Red house won first  and Green house won second prize .

In Girl's badminton competition Red house got first place and Yellow house got second .

The Sport's Meet by MEACT B.Ed college was held on 9th march 2022. For the arts and sports meet students from first year and second year were grouped into four houses - Yellow💛 Blue 💙 Red 💓 and Green 💚. I belonged to the Red House .

Boys' Badminton was conducted on 9th March.

Red house won first and yellow won second place.

WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION

                                     WOMEN'S DAY 2K22

International Women's Day is a global day celebrated annually on March 8th. The day recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and serves as a call to action for gender equality. It is an important day because it is a global recognition of the contributions that women make to society, as well as a call to action to continue working towards gender equality. The Women's Day 2022 was the first program conducted by our college union HRIDAYAM.

The Women's Day program was inaugurated by our respected principal Mrs. Shyma Nahas by lighting the nilavilakku. All other teachers joined her.

The programme was organized and coordinated by the union under the leadership of Safna K M, the lady representative.

The Queen of MEACT was a fashion show and ramp walk by the ladies students from both first year and second year. Then there was the Question Answer session where the participants had to answer some questions asked by the teachers. The main attraction of the show was the performance of our mom-to-be Ansiya. Fathima Anvar, first year English student won the competition and was crowned the 'Queen of MEACT'.

Then there was a speech competition on the topic - Women empowerment. 

Arafa Beegum of 2nd year Commerce department and Aparna Bahuleyan of first year English department got the first and second places.

After that there was a Women's Day debate competition. It was between the first year and second year students. It was a high spirited competition in which both the teams presented their points well. Mr. Sarath Kumar, Assistant Professor of Malayalam was the moderator of the debate.

Then there was the talent show and various cultural performances 

by the first year students.
